Convention 2025 Wiesbaden

You and your partner are cordially invited to the 34th ECTA Convention from October 2^nd to 5^th, 2025 in the Wilhelm-Kempf-Haus in Wiesbaden Naurod.

The date of this ECTA Convention is certainly not suitable for everyone. However, participants from Germany have the advantage that Friday is a public holiday. So there is no need to plan a vacation day.

In addition to the training and further education topics with seminars, council activities and discussion rounds, the personal meetings during the breaks and in the evening, as well as the exchange of experiences and specialist knowledge, are good opportunities to meet old friends and make new ones.

The seminars, each lasting 45 minutes, take place from Thursday to Saturday. Thursday begins with a “come together”, i.e. all councils will have a welcome session and a joint seminar in one room in the afternoon.
Friday and Saturday are then available all day to each individual council for council-specific seminars. Further cross-departmental seminars and examinations for the EEP will also be offered on both days.

Your support is needed for the evening programs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Please indicate in the registration form on which evenings, preferably Thursday and Friday, you would like to and can contribute to the program.
It does not necessarily have to have something to do with dancing, quiz rounds, magic, etc. are also possible.

As always, participation at the gala buffet is not mandatory. However, the gala buffet is a highlight of the convention. It would be nice if many members attended with their partners.

Attending all activities of the convention is, as always, free of charge for ECTA members and their partners. Non-Members pay a registration fee of 60€ per person, please use the separate registration form (see link on the right)

In addition, this time we have to charge each participant a conference fee.
This includes: lunch buffet, free parking and Wi-Fi, unlimited coffee / tea / mineral water and fruit during the event and afternoon cake on Thursday and Friday.

The price for this flat rate is € 30.00 per person and day, it is included in the catering package of our overnight guests. Daily guests please pay this in cash at the registration desk.

The conference center is the Wilhelm-Kempf-Haus and is located on the edge of the northern district of Wiesbaden-Naurod, close to the A3 Cologne – Frankfurt Autobahn.

Each room, either as single or double occupancy with separate beds, has its own bathroom, workstation with lighting, checkroom and closet.

There is a limited call-off contingent for arrival October 2, 2025 and departure October 5, 2025, which is available until 04.07.2025. CALL CODE “ECTA”.

The package includes 3 nights including all fees, half board and catering package for a complete price of

• 367,00 € per person in a single room

• 289,00 € per person in a double room

In case of late arrival or early departure, the price will change accordingly. Please contact the conference center directly.

Pets are not allowed in the conference center. However, if you would like to bring your pet with you, please contact the conference center directly.

FOOD AND DRINK

Half board contains breakfast and evening buffet, the catering package includes the conference flat rate (see above) and  gala buffet on Saturday.

Drinks at the Thursday and Friday evenings and also at the gala night are not included in the price and have to be paid by the participants directly at the hotel.

Restaurant opening hours: Breakfast: 6:30 till 9:30 ; Lunch: 12:45  till 14:00; Dinner from 18:00 till 20:00.

ARRIVAL BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

To arrive by train please specify the destination „Wiesbaden“ and  in Wiesbaden for the local traffic the destination "Willi-Kempf-Haus".

From Frankfurt main station:

Train line Frankfurt - Limburg, or S-Bahn line 2 from Frankfurt to Niedernhausen station, from there take bus line 22 in the direction of Wiesbaden to the “Wilhelm-Kempf-Haus” stop or take a cab (distance to the station approx. 3 km).

From Wiesbaden main station:

Bus to “Platz der deutschen Einheit”, from there take Bus line 22 in the direction of Niedernhausen-Oberjosbach to the stop “Wilhelm-Kempf-Haus”, buses run every hour!

From Frankfurt Airport:

S-Bahn to Frankfurt main station, then via Niedernhausen station, see above. (distance to the airport approx. 30 km)

ARRIVAL BY CAR

The conference center is the Wilhelm-Kempf-Haus (50.144264, 8.305396) and is located on the edge of the northern district of Wiesbaden-Naurod

Autobahn A3 Cologne - Frankfurt, exit Niedernhausen-Wiesbaden. Turn right onto the L3028 to the B455 towards Wiesbaden. After approx. 2 km turn right onto the L3027 towards Niedernhausen. After approx. 300m you will see the entrance to the Wilhelm-Kempf-Haus on the left.

There are no parking slots for RVs / mobile homes or campers available directly at the conference center. Please contact the conference center directly.

FLIGHT TRAVEL

Wiesbaden can be reached from the Airport Frankfurt by regional train in about 1 hour. See further under ARRIVAL BY TRAIN.

If you still have time left before, besides or after the convention, Wiesbaden has interesting things to offer.

The downtown of Wiesbaden can be easily reached by public transport from the conference venue every hour. Wiesbaden is the capital of the federal state of Hesse and the seat of the Hessian state parliament.

Wiesbaden is known as a city of thermal springs. If you would like to bathe in one of the thermal baths and have forgotten your bathing clothes, you can visit the Kaiser- Friedrich-Therme, for example: it is a textile-free bathing palace.

Other sights worth visiting in the city center include the Kurhaus, the casino, the Kurpark, the market church on Schlossplatz, Biebrich Palace with the banks of the Rhine, the Hessian State Theater, Opelbad, the state parliament, the town hall, the cuckoo clock near the town hall and much more.

There are many restaurants in Wiesbaden's downtown that offer both local and international food and drinks.
