Convention 2027 Oberwesel

You and your partner are cordially invited to the 36^th ECTA Convention from Febraury 18^th to 21^th, 2027 in Oberwesel.

In addition to training, continuing education, and professional development topics - including seminars, council activities, and discussion panels - the personal interactions during breaks and in the evenings, as well as the exchange of experiences and expertise, provide excellent opportunities to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.

The seminars will take place from Thursday through Saturday. Thursday begins with a “come together”, meaning that all departments will gather that afternoon for the “welcome session” and a joint seminar in one room.

Friday and Saturday are then set aside all day for each individual department to hold department-specific seminars. On both days, additional cross-departmental seminars and exams for the EEP are also offered.

The conference center is the Rheintal Youth Hostel, located in Oberwesel above the Rhine, between Bingen and Koblenz.

A free guided tour of the city takes place on Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and can be booked individually if you're interested. You can find more information, including booking details, here.

Pets are not allowed at the youth hostel.

CARAVAN PARKING

There are no parking slots for RVs / mobile homes or campers available directly at the youth hostel, but there is a local campground
(1.6 km on foot, 2 km by car).

ARRIVAL BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Oberwesel itself has a train station, from which the bus lines 686 or 684 run to Oberwesel-Schönburg. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk to the hostel. Alternatively you could walk the 1,1 km to the hostel (about 25 minutes) directly from the train station.

ARRIVAL BY CAR

Take the A61 Koblenz-Ludwigshafen motorway, exit at Laudert/Oberwesel or use the B9 Bingen-Koblenz which goes through Oberwesel.

Well-known and popular at the same time - the very modern Rhine Valley Youth Hostel Oberwesel with conference venue is located above the picturesque Rhine town of Oberwesel, in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Oberwesel is located in the valley of the Loreley, the most beautiful part of the Rhine between Bingen and Koblenz. The city of towers and wine has retained its unique medieval townscape to this day.
