Logo Licensing - why?
ECTA decided in 1998, to register our logo with the Deutschen Patent- und Markenamt, to avoid, that others come up with any claims oder start to use it not within our scope.
Is it possible to use the ECTA Logo as member?
We would like to offer the possibility, to demonstrate the ECTA membership on websites, e-Mail footers, letter heads etc. by using the logo. However, with any of such use, it is important to not automatically raise the assumption that any statement or agreement with displaying the logo is done on behalf of ECTA. So we came up with a policy, which might be a bit formal, but should be aceptable for everyone.
Each member, who whats the use the ECTA logo for own purposes, closes a sub licensing agreement for the mark with the License Manager. This will grant allowanace to use the ECTA Logo with the word Member beneath the logo.

How do I agree the ECTA Logo use for me?
Please find the Form for sublicensing here.
If you are interested, please send two copies of the signed and filled fomr to the ECTA License Manager. You will get one counter-signed copy back for your files.
